Aidan yawned, flipping a page in the book he was barely paying attention to. He'd never been much of a reader, but when you were stuck in a city with no new forms of entertainment ever coming in, you had to make due with what you had. Even if it meant reading what Aidan was pretty sure was the worst book ever written.
He was lounging on the couch in the living room of the house he shared with some of the other supers. He used to have an apartment nearer the downtown area, before the quarantine. But that was all gang territory now, and he really hadn't been in the mood to join a gang after one of them had ransacked his place while he'd been out. So he did what a lot of the other supers had done and migrated to the south end of the city where the rest of those with powers had gathered together. Now he lived in the neighbourhood where a lot of the supers had become roomies, sticking close together in small groups that filled the houses there.
Aidan groaned in extreme boredom, resting his head back on the arm-rest of the couch and covering his face with the book itself. He was probably going to go out of his mind at this rate.
