Suited up in his complete body armor, made from various pieces of things including a bullet proof vest and knee and elbow pads, the Skull Crackers member dug through some run down convenience store. He was in search of anything that could possibly be used. A few things of packaged food still sat on the shelves that were still standing up right. 'Someone must'a had a fight in here recently' he stated in his head as he put his goggles up on the top of his head and came across some charred walls and floors. The burning smell still lingered in the air.
He wrinkled his nose and grabbed a bag of chips off the floor. They were already past the expiry date but had never been opened. 'Still good?' It was worth a try. He ripped the bag open and stuck a few in his mouth. Pausing a minute to taste them. 'Meh, good enough.' he stuck a few more into his mouth and noisely crunched them.
There wasn't too much left in the convenience store aside from some expired bags of chips and candy. Yaro took what ever he could anyway, even if he himself wasn't going to eat it. He could possibly get something for the bags back in the center.

[occ. I couldn't resist ^_^" Hope you don't mind]
ic.
It was always dangerous to wander alone, Especially into what some call the danger zone, Yet the need for a new book always drove her out. The silence that seemed to haunt every street was unnerving. Fingernails picked at one another, as her eye's wandered the streets that seemed to stretch out un ending in front of her. Her shoes clicked against the cement, It seemed so noisy in the empty street.. If someone was around they'd surely hear it. That is, unless they were only a human.
A soft sigh escaped her lips, As her eye's wandered to the stores that seemed raided to her side. The glass in every window lay across the entry way, or all over the store. Clothes, food and other objects lay among st it. Whatever happened to the town she had been raised, was gone. The little diner she worked at was all but rubble now, Thanks to the Gang. She jumped as a little rat knocked over some trash, "It's alright.. It's just you.." She attempted to comfort herself, Though that fear would always stay in the back of her mind.
There it was, The library she always went to. It was perhaps one of the few remaining places that not many went to. It's glass window still stood intact, and it's door still stood on it's hinges. Swinging open the door, The little bell at the top jingled loudly and she cringed. Inside the air was musty, and nearly everything was covered in dust. She ran her fingers across a few books on the shelf, Dust covering her fingertips. She read a few titles, opened a few books and skimmed the pages, searching for that perfect one.. Till the bell on the door jingled again.

Wandering the empty streets some more he froze as he heard a small jingle of a bell. He grabbed the hilt of one of his machetes and listened to see if he could tell where the sound had come from. Moving slowly again he scanned each building. If there was another gang out there looking for a fight they should have come out by now. Unless it was someone hiding from him? A small smirk appeared on his face at the thought of someone cowering from him.
Which building had the bell come from? He started to push and fiddle with some of the doors to see if any of them jingled. The bell wasn't loud but in the quiet streets of this area of the city it was a little easier to hear. He moved door after door and froze again as he heard another jingle as well as a door move. But he never saw anyone. Where they invisible? He moved towards this library that the sounds came from.
Peering inside the door way he twitched as the bell rang again when he finally entered. He swung a machete up and clipped the bell off the door way. He grinned as it hit the floor with a half jingle and he decided it was a good idea to kick the thing. No more bell. He then scanned the room and all he saw were rows and rows of books. He never really was a fan of books. They bored him and if there was the choice, he'd take the movie version of any book. But it had to be a good action or horror movie.

It was the bell that caught her attention. Tabby wasn't used to noise in this end of town. She was used to being alone, and the few times there were people, she went the other way. The last thing she wanted to do was to run into someone who would scare her. When she got scared, things got very bad.
Today, she was visiting one of her vegetable gardens. She had a few of them scattered around the West End. Sometimes people found them and tore them up. Sometimes they ate what they found. Tabby had tried to mark them with a warning sign, but nobody paid attention to them. She'd finally marked some of the more lethal of her gardens with a homemade geiger counter. That kept some people away, but others still came and took the food. She didn't like to think about what happened to them after they ate it.
This particular garden wasn't too radioactive. Maybe it clicked a little more than normal, but it wouldn't kill anybody to eat these plants. That's why she'd hidden it up on an office building. Nobody needed staples and pens anymore. All the good stuff had been looted years ago. Nobody came on top of an office building.
The bell rang again. Tabby carefully crept toward the edge and looked down into the street. Someone was standing in the doorway of the book store. She recognized him from the Center. He was one of the Skull Crushers. Not a very nice one either, even by Skull Crusher standards.
She stayed where she was and just watched to see what was happening. Tabby knew better than to go yell at some gang member for wandering around. If he wanted to loot a bookstore, it was best to just sit back and let it happen.

A hand raced to her mouth as she peered through a space in the bookshelf, It was a gang member. He just had to be, The way he destroyed the bell and seemed happy about it.. Gently she placed the book that was in her hand back onto the Shelf. Mixed eyes stared, Fear glistening in her pretty eye's. Slowly she moved through the library, Sticking to the shadows and hoping she wouldnt be seen..
Well that was her plan, till she slipped on a old book and hit a shelf, Nearly the entire row of books fell off the shelf. She cursed to herself, and quickly made a run for a new bookshelf to hide behind. She knew better then to come out by herself. Especially with her power still not fully understandable. She knew how to use it, but the extent of her power she had know idea. No one did.
Ducking behind the shelf, she peered out at the man. If only he'd move from the doorway.. she could take a run for it..

Yaro scanned the library a few times to see if he could spot anyone. His neck snapped towards the sound of a shelf falling and saw a huge mess of books tumble onto the floor. He gripped his machete and headed towards the mess. He hit a few books out of the way in the pile. It was possible that who ever knocked this down had gotten caught under it, so he searched the massive pile and moved the mostly now empty shelf. No body. Who ever it was must have ran.
A smirk appeared on his face as an idea popped into his head. If someone was hiding, he knew how to get them out. He put his machete away and put his hands together and pointed them out. He sent a blast from the palms of his hands out and into the near by shelves. He was able to force the shelves with enough strength in order to knock down a nice row.
Now if anyone was going to run, now would be a good time. He grinned and watched carefully.

Milo was picking through an old clothing store, trying to find stuff that would fit him properly, when he heard a strange rumble. Something was happening near by. He paused and listened for a bit, as long as it didn't get too close it wasnt too big a deal. He picked up a long cloak like piece of fabric from what was probably some sort of Halloween costume. It was long and would cover him quite well. The hood was quite handy as well. He flipped it over his shoulders and pulled the hood up letting his long braid fall over the front of his shoulder. Perfect.
He put a few other pieces of clothing into a bag over his shoulder and made his way to the door. He slowly opened it and poked his head out to see if anyone was nearby. Nothing new aside from the strange noises coming from the library. He made a sprint for the building across the street and jumped onto a dumpster and managing to find a few misplaced bricks to use as small stepping stones. He grabbed onto the ledge of the roof and pulled himself up. It wasn't a real high building but it should keep him out of the way of any quarrels that made their way to the streets.

Something came up on the building beside hers fast, real fast. Tabby stumbled a bit to the side, surprised, and the giger counter squealed. She tamped down on her radiation before she did something stupid. It went back to normal, ticking steadily every few seconds. Her little outburst hadn't been too bad then.
There was a big guy on the building, bigger than humans usually were. He was a mutant then. No human could get up a building like that, and no human was that tall. The cloak covered him, so Tabby couldn't get a real good look. What was the matter with him? Who knew. Mutations were a funny thing. Sometimes you got to be the person who was stronger than steel, sometimes you were the person whose superpower was giving people cancer.
She stayed crouched down by the ledge. The new guy was freaking her out a little, but as far as she could tell, he was just another scavenger, like her. Maybe his powers got him kicked out of the South End. It wouldn't be the first time. She didn't know his intentions, but she knew for a fact that the Skull Crusher had a load of bad intentions and she'd rather not get his attention too.

Toru stood upon a building over looking a good part of the city. He could see some people off in the distance on a street with the library. He'd been there a couple times. He enjoyed reading every once and a while. There was one book that he really enjoyed. He couldn't remember the name but it was about silent assassins that fought for good instead of just being paid to kill. They were like him.
Suddenly a loud boom came from the library. Then he noticed someone jumped onto the roof of the a building near the library. He appeared to be blue. Maybe he just wore something to make himself appear that way. He decided to go check it out.
He went into shadow form and traveled down the building, down the street and across another to get to the library. The man on the roof of the other building looked extremely tall and he actually was blue. Toru came out of the shadow and tried to stay hidden from the big blue man. He walked around the library to see what all the commotion was. He wanted to find a back door so he could sneak up on what ever was happening. Most likely a gang member vandalizing or fighting with someone in the library. Once he found a back door he opened it and found himself in some room that connected to the library. It was dark but the light through the doorway made it easy enough to see. Toru worked better in the dark anyway.
The door to the library would make too much noise if he opened it, so he turned into a shadow. He moved under the door and tried to see what was going on. There definitely was a gang member destroying things. Then Toru saw a girl trying to hide from him. The Skull Crusher looked like he was trying to hurt the girl. Toru wasn't going to let that happen. He waited in shadow form for the right moment to strike.

Yaro was surprised, he never saw anyone run for it. Did he trap them? He crawled up on some of the toppled shelves and kicked a few of the books around. "Come out, come out where ever you are." He carefully scanned the shelves to see if he could spot anyone. Who ever this was, was either really good at hiding, or invisible like he suspected. Though either way made it more fun to try and locate them.
He put his hands together again and blasted another row of shelves, knocking them down with another rumble. "I just wanna play" he added with a bit of a low laugh. Oh what joy he'd have in catching this person. Maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to get something worth a bunch off this person that he could take back and trade for something better. Or he could just abuse them till he got bored and decided to leave.

Instincts took over in the few seconds before he fired, Her hands came up infront of her, A silver wall covered her from the flying books, They simply hit the wall and fell to the floor. This was new, and besides beind terroized by a gang member, she smiled softly and stared in awe at her hands. But she wasn't out of the blue yet, Slowly she got to her feet, and bam there he was. She was at the back corner, He was blocking her exit. Maybe she could look intimadating.. Perhaps not.
The best she could do was try and protect herself.. Put a shield up. Though how long her power would last there was no telling, but it was worth a try right. Well he did hurt her books, She had to keep thinking like that.. Anger coursed through her veins. Around her hands a silver light covered them, Like fog but more brighter, A show, but he didn't have to know that. The fog traveled around her legs and arms, and spun around her torso.. A simple show to just simply intimadate the male. Though whether he would fall for it or not.. Well..

Yaro was happy to know that this wasn't just a mere human. It was so much more entertaining and a fight usually lasted longer with a fellow super. "Oh boy," he grinned as he realized the one he'd been terrorizing was in fact female. He licked his lips quickly and put one hand on one of his machetes. He hadn't run into a lone girl in a long time, it was usually guys or people in pairs. He'd have some long deserved fun with this one.
He watched a bit curiously at what she was doing with her powers, the strange light was something he'd never seen before, and he's seen many different powers. He snapped out of his short entrancement with a quick shake of his head and whipped out the machete he'd held. Twirling it a bit in his hand before running forward in an attempt to hold her up against the wall.

It was always a bit more, Frightening when you're trapped by a complete well.. psycho maybe? Not to mention one that seemed rather joyful about having her trapped here. Her little show didn't seem to phase him at all, Rather it seemed to intrigue him even more. She cursed lowly, the light slithering back to her hands and there it stayed.
In an instant he charged, Machete out and a wild look raging in his eye's. Damned gang's.. Why couldn't they just get along with the rest of the Supers. Well it wasn't a question she was about to ask, Her hands raised out in front of her a small shield separated him from her, Though the force of him still chunked her into the wall, Only the front of her protected from the gang member. The silver wall glittered in the dark of the library "I wouldn't get to excited just yet.." she muttered back, A bit rough sounding as her breath was knocked out of her chest a bit.

Toru was surprised to see that the girl was gifted as well. She must have telekinesis or some sort of energy dispersion because of the shield she put up. She wasn't as helpless as he first assumed. Toru moved around in his shadow form on the floor and the fallen over books looking for a good vantage point. He stopped moving by the wall and waited for the perfect moment to strike.
The moment came. Toru moved and stopped inbetween the girl and the Skull Crusher. He leaped out of his shadow form as if he jumped through the floor. His foot was pointed upward and was aimed straight for the Skull Crusher's face.

For a moment, Tabby thought she might have to get involved, but then the other guy showed up, coming out of nowhere. That's when she decided it was getting way too crowded for her. Two against one was good odds, and there was no reason Tabby had to stick around.
Tabby got up and grabbed her knapsack off the ground. She ignored the big guy and headed to the back of the building, climbing down the fire escape. The knapsack was heavy, loaded down with vegetables and fruit she'd just picked, but she moved as fast as she could manage, hitting the ground and heading further west.
